Like all medical aesthetics treatments, there are some precautions, risks and contraindications you need to knowabout.
Prior to any consultation at Skinpossible we have you complete a detailed intake form that tells us if you are a candidate. If there is any reason why we cannot safely and confidently proceed with treatment, we occasionally need to deny treatment.
While we love delivering the results you want, your safety is our first priority!
A question that is on the minds of many these days has to do with the risk of Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia. The definition of paradoxical is “absurd or self-contradictory” and adipose hyperplasia means that fat increases in size. In view of the reliability of CoolSculpting to reduce localized fat without surgery, it does seem absurd that this could happen. Unfortunately, it can happen at any clinic and to anyone, without explanation. Fortunately, this complication is extremely rare, occurring only 1/10,000+ treatments, and the increased size is almost always minimal.
Risks are always discussed during every consultation at Skinpossible!
Yes, despite its long safety profile, there are risks associated with CoolSculpting just as there are risks in undergoing any procedure. It is extremely unfortunate when PAH occurs, but in the rare instances when this has happened it can be corrected with surgical liposuction. The good news is that CoolSculpting works!
CoolSculpting provides a safe, reliable alternative to surgical liposuction!
If you would like to know more about CoolSculpting don’t hesitate to call Skinpossible and book a consultation and assessment.
Lipotrophic injections can be used in connection with a medically supervised weight-loss program to help the liver metabolize fat. If Lipotrophic injections would help enhance CoolSculpting results we would offer them. The truth is that nothing is required to help break down the fat after your CoolSculpting treatment. The fat is cleared through the body’s lymphatic system. The liver has nothing to do with it. FYI, in the absence of strict dietary restrictions that accompany medically supervised with(weight) loss programs, the injections will do nothing to cause weight-loss.
