Microneedling...Because sometimes lasers are just too much!
The gold standard of professional micro-needling! Promote skin repair and reduce the appearance of aging, wrinkles, scars, & stretch marks with eDermastamp® Collagen Induction Therapy, licensed by Health Canada.
Skinpossible has options! Which is right for you?
With three different lasers to accommodate every skin tone and tolerance for downtime, why have we now introduced Microneedling? After all, doesn’t microneedling address the same issues that laser resurfacing does? Yes, that is true. Both modalities use controlled injury to stimulate our body’s natural synthesis of new collagen, exfoliate the skin, to improve wrinkles, texture, and tone, but the two therapies do it in different ways. As wonderful as results from our ablative and non-ablative laser resurfacing treatments can be, professional microneedling treatments have a few advantages that sometimes make microneedling a preferred alternative!
Skinpossible offers micro-needling by eDermastamp!
Of course, Skinpossible would invest in the best! The eDermaStamp is a medical treatment that uses the highest quality, surgical-grade, sterile needles, optimally placed for precise non-traumatic penetration and maximum safety. With the fastest motor on the market, eDermaStamp offers superior results and eliminates the risk of scratches and micro-tears imposed by the slower insertion rate of imitation devices.
Microneedling is like Laser Resurfacing “Light!”
For those who don’t want the discomfort and downtime of laser resurfacing, or for younger skin that doesn’t need the aggressive approach afforded by lasers, microneedling may be a more suitable treatment! Microneedling uses a pen-type device that is equipped with minuscule motorized needles to create channels of micro-injuries, just as a laser does, but without heat or ablation. Microneedling is much more comfortable, the bleeding during the treatment is minimal, and it stops immediately afterward. Downtime is mild, exfoliation minimal, and recovery is quick, usually within 48 hours.
When to choose lasers? Heat it up when you need to speed it up!
Ablative treatments done with our C02 or Erbium Yag lasers create channels of injury along with heat to vaporize tissue and simultaneously remove columns of debris. A more invasive treatment than microneedling, the results of a single treatment will be superior. By comparison, laser resurfacing may be considered a one-and-done procedure, but the discomfort, downtime, and recovery time are longer. Five days of social downtime, followed by several weeks of residual redness, is more than some people can tolerate. While results are worth it for those who can, it may also be more than is necessary.
During the treatment:
As eDermaStamp’s minuscule needles penetrate your skin during your Collagen Induction Treatment, a concentrated Hyaluronic Acid gel is infused to enrich the skin with hydration and promote collagen synthesis.
After the treatment:
Before the micro-channels close, a mask drenched with Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E, and Matrixyl peptides are applied. This helps to reduce redness, expedite skin healing and improve the end results.
What is Collagen Induction Therapy (Micro-Needling)?
In medical literature, micro-needling therapy is referred to as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT). There are numerous medical studies illustrating the effectiveness of this treatment.
When it comes to minimally invasive treatments, Micro-needling Collagen Induction therapy with the eDermaStamp® is clinically proven and is perhaps the most successful treatment available for the common signs and symptoms of aging such as wrinkles, loss of skin volume, and crepey and dull skin. The eDermaStamp® micro-needling treatment is even proven to minimize scars and stretch marks.
The eDermaStamp® therapy triggers the body’s spontaneous healing process, stimulating cell proliferation and causing the formation of new collagen. This results in a thicker, more supple, cellular matrix. Results: Visibly younger-looking skin!
PROOF: The image below shows a biopsy of the epidermis before and after micro-needling therapy. Significant new collagen (dyed purple) has been generated, 6 weeks after a single treatment.
Scientific solution for the most common symptoms of aging:
• Reduces fine lines and wrinkles
• Improves tone and texture
• Skin Tightening and Thickening
• Promotes Collagen production
• Treats Scars and Stretch Marks
• Trans-dermal delivery
• Safe for all Skin types
How does MicroNeedling work?
1) Treatment
Dermaroller® surgical-grade micro-needles penetrate to the needed depth in the dermis causing “pin-point bleeding” and triggering the body’s spontaneous healing response. Identifying a small dot of blood means that the needed depth has been reached. The equipment features the highest quality, medical grade, sterile needles optimally placed for precision penetration and maximum safety. With the fastest motor on the market, it offers the best results and eliminates reckless tearing of the skin imposed by imitation devices.
Using SPECIAL MICRO-NEEDLES we create thousands of micro-channels in the dermis. How deep do you need to penetrate? Or, what needle length do you need to use? As deep as needed to see “pin-point bleeding”
2) Healing Cascade
The punctured blood vessels cause bleeding, and blood platelets are released, which in turn release molecular messengers called “growth factors”. This instructs the fibroblasts to generate new collagen and elastin, meaning new skin.
“Controlled damage” allows the wound to heal slowly and correctly, rather than in “emergency mode”
Punctured blood vessels cause bleeding
Blood platelets, white blood cells, and endothelial cells release molecular messengers called Growth Factors, which increase cellular signaling and normalize cell function
3) Younger-looking skin
New organized collagen & elastin form, bolstering from within, while the epidermis becomes thicker and more supple, each time a treatment is performed.
Cell-to-cell communication is improved
Cell function is improved
Damaged skin is replaced with NEW SKIN that has improved structure and elasticity
How does Microneeling improve your skin?
Microneedling using eDermastamp takes advantage of your body’s own regeneration process. The eDermastamp device is placed over your skin, allowing its highest quality, medical-grade sterile needles to quickly prick the surface. With the fastest motor on the market, eDermastamp provides up to 150 pricks per second to stimulate cell proliferation and promote the formation of new collagen, leading your skin to improve in thickness and texture. The end result is the reduction of the appearance of wrinkles, scars, and stretch marks. Many of our clients have found that repeated eDermastamp microneedling treatments have helped their skin glow again, smooth from scars, uneven texture, sun damage, acne scars, and stretch marks that they have lived with for years.
There are other Microneedling treatments why choose the eDermaStamp® micro-needling treatment?
Certified Medical-Grade Equipment
The eDermaStamp® is ISO13485 certified (certified medical device), meeting all standards for medical-grade equipment in manufacturing, materials, sterile packaging, and more.
Safest Micro-Needles
The medical-grade micro-needles of the eDermaStamp® are atraumatic (non-traumatic) cone-shaped needles that displace the skin during the puncture process, creating a micro-wound that seals within minutes of treatment. Poorer quality roller devices are made with knife-shaped needles that slice through tissue and risk causing traumatic skin, vessel, and nerve damage. Poor-quality needles also require increased pressure, making for more painful treatment.
Fastest Motor on the Market
At 150 strokes per second (the fastest on the market!) the eDermaStamp® can safely glide over the skin without scratching or tearing the skin. Poor quality micro-needling pens which operate at a slower insertion rate (100 to 120 strokes per second) can cause scratches and micro-tears in the tissue as the tip moves across the face. The result can be increased epidermal damage and an increased risk of infection.
Non-Ablative
Where other scars and anti-aging treatments are ablative (destroying tissue), the eDermaStamp® respects the integrity of the epidermis and dermis, using atraumatic (non-traumatic) perforations to gently trigger the generation of new tissue.
Optimal Needle Count
Don’t be misled by imitation rollers that boast “the most needles”. Though we want to maximize the number of perforations, too many needles compromise the safety and comfort of the treatment. Imagine a bed of nails: while a bed of nails can easily support your body weight without a nail perforating your skin, a single nail would easily penetrate your skin under the same pressure. Similarly, a roller with too many needles will require dangerous and uncomfortable amounts of pressure in order to penetrate the skin to the appropriate depth. The eDermaStamp® employs the optimal number of needles to maximize effectiveness, safety, and comfort.
Electric vs. Battery
The eDermaStamp® is built for consistency. As an electric device, it outputs consistent power which means consistent performance. A battery-operated device outputs inconsistent power. As the battery starts to wear out, the tip will slow down and the results can be unwanted micro tears and scratching of the skin.
Licensed by Health Canada
The eDermaStamp® is licensed by Health Canada. There are countless imitation products on the market that are not licensed by Health Canada so we recommend you do your research, to protect your health and safety.

Microneedling FAQs
How does Microneedling work? +
The eDermaStamp (EDS) Rejuvenate treatment is an electronic, micro-skin needling procedure that produces thousands of micro-needle columns in the skin, which in turn stimulates the skin to naturally generate and repair itself. As part of this stimulation new collagen can be formed, new cells generated and the structure of the dermis, the lower level of the skin, enhanced.
What happens during my Microneedling treatment? +
A single use medical grade needle applicator is used for the EDS Micro-Needling treatment. Firstly a local anaesthetic cream is applied prior to treatment to make it more comfortable during application. The EDS hand-piece is then passed across the skin and creates tiny skin punctures to the dermal layer. This causes an inflammatory response in the skin that stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen and skin healing.
What are the benefits of Microneedling? +
It is generally recommended to have a course of treatments which can help with the following skin complaints• Acne Scaring.• Sun damaged and aged skin.• Stretch marks.• Facial and décolletage can be toned and refreshed.
When will I see a result from my MicroNeedling treatment? +
After your procedure, you can see a more even skin tone and texture, reduced pore size and overall brightness in your skin within 1 week after treatment. 3 months will be the best result for the collagen production and skin tightening aspect.
How often should I do a microneedling treatment? +
While results may vary from person to person, at Skinpossible we recommend doing treatments 4-6 weeks apart. Depending on skin condition we could recommend a series of 3-6 treatments.
Is it true that micro-needling boosts product absorbtion by up to 1000% +
Yes, this is true. Micro-needling boosts product absorption and effectiveness by up to 1000% during the first hour after your treatment. This is why we pair your Microneedling treatment with sterile Hyaluronic Acid. The channels created by the microneedles create a conduit for maximum product absorption into the dermis layer of the skin.
What are the benefits of micro-needling? +
Micro-needling helps with a wide array of skin issues. Our younger clients choose micro-needling to help with acne scars, and our more mature micro-needling clients choose micro-needling for things such as sun damage and wrinkles. Micro-needling results are naturally beautiful, and it’s a chemical free treatment. The results are that your skin will be thicker and collagen and elastin production will increase. The main benefit of Micro-needling is that the growth factors released trigger regenerative healing. This type of healing is comprised of type III collagen forming from the base upwards in the dermal layer.
Is MicroNeedling right for me? +
The treatment is generally suitable for all skin types, but not for areas with skin disease or infections. The treatment is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Are there any side effects from Micro-Needling? +
Immediately after the treatment you will experience some redness, which can last up to two days. You may also develop micro-crusting, as the skin cells renew and the resurfacing takes place. This can last for five to seven days but is easy to cover with makeup
How long do the results from my Micro-Needling Treatment last? +
The results from the treatment are permanent but subject to the natural ageing process. This treatment can improve the situation but ageing is a continuous downward trend (unfortunately!). There is no such thing as a single, permanent fix and this relates to surgery too.
How long does the MicroNeedling treatment take? +
I will apply a local anaesthetic cream prior to treatment to make it more comfortable. The treatment takes generally between 30 -60 Minutes.
Does microneedling hurt? +
Because of the quick pulses per second, you will feel only minimal discomfort from our microneedling treatment. And applying a topical anesthetic makes it more comfortable.
Will there be a long period of downtime after microneedling? +
You can resume your normal, everyday activities after 24 hours, but should avoid direct sunlight for at least 48 hours after your microneedling treatment. And always apply sunscreen when outdoors.
What do I need to do after having Micro-Needling? +
You should avoid saunas and extreme heat for 24 hours. A recovery cream may be applied after your treatment to help soothe and calm your skin. You should avoid UV exposure for up to 3 weeks after treatment. On an on-going basis we recommend wearing sun cream and skincare products to protect and maintain the skin health, we will recommend a regime most suitable for you, which will also help maintain the results.
I heard that there will be swelling and discoloration after treatment. Is this true? +
Mild swelling is normal after microneedling treatments, but the redness will reduce by 50% within hours of leaving our clinic.
Can I wear makeup after a microneedling treatment? +
We suggest clients to use mineral makeup, and only 24 hours after their microneedling treatment. We offer Jane Iredale Mineral makeup ckeck it out >>
What should I expect after a microneedling treatment? +
Day 1 to 2: Superficial reddening of the skin and mild swelling subsides.
Day 2 to 7: Some exfoliation and dryness.
After 1 Week: Improvement of skin texture and tone begins.
After 3 Weeks: Improvement in pigmentation becomes noticeable.
After 6 Weeks: Improvement in fine lines, wrinkles and scars begin.
When should you not do Microneedling? +
You are running a risk of bacterial and other types of infections. You must avoid using it directly on blemished or acne areas because it could cause even worse irritation and inflammation. One scientific paper suggests that those who have skin conditions as follows should not get micro-needling treatment.
How many sessions of Microneedling do you need? +
Microneedling typically requires nine months of treatment. During this time, you'll need three to six treatments spaced out every two to six weeks to see full results. The exact number of treatments and the time between them will vary by type, location, and skin concern.
Can Microneedling reduce pore size? +
Microneedling is a safe and effective method for reducing the appearance of enlarged pores. The micro injuries to the skin caused by microneedling trigger skin's own wound healing response. Collagen creates the appearance of smaller poresand tighter skin. Collagen builds healthy supple skin.
