In order to do a proper assessment, our consultant will need to see and touch the areas of fat to be treated. This is necessary to determine the liability of the adipose tissue and other factors that would affect your treatment plan. Only after seeing you personally can we make qualified recommendations as to which treatment to suggest and which cooling device to use or configuration to arrange. For those living in other cities, we can attempt to estimate your treatment plan by emailed photos over a telephone consultation, but a proper assessment will be required prior to commencing treatment. In this case, if your decision to proceed, a deposit will be taken and your treatment can be scheduled immediately following your clinical assessment. This assessment could change the treatment plan and in the event, you are not a candidate your deposit will be refunded subject to a charge of $50 per hour for the room time reserved to do your treatment.
Who is not a candidate for CoolSculpting or SculpSure? An ideal candidate is a person who is close to their ideal body weight with a stubborn pocket of fat that does not respond to diet or exercise. If you are within 20 to 30 pounds of ideal bodyweight you are probably a good candidate for the treatment of localized areas of fat. Visceral fat (deep fat lying underneath the abdominal muscle) cannot be treated with either Coolsculpting or Sculp-Sure. Neither of these treatments is indicated for weight-loss but even an obese person could potentially be a candidate for some small areas of localized fat that may be bothersome to them. It is important to have realistic expectations and recognize that all body contouring procedures (including plastic surgery) are not an alternative to a healthy lifestyle
