We have other fillers that can be used to replace lost volume anywhere in the face. We can ever create volume where it never existed. Let me tell you more!
As we age we tend to lose fat volume in our faces. Our cheeks, which were full and high when we were young can sink and develop a triangular shaped flat spot that can appear shaded and grooved. Many of us lose volume in the orbits of our eyes that result in eye circles that may or may not be dark in appearance. We also lose volume in our lips and other areas of the face. This lost volume allows the face to fall and contributes to the appearance of lip lines and the folds that appear at the sides and corners of the mouth. Even when we are young, lack of volume can make us look tired!
Lost volume anywhere can easily be replaced with dermal fillers! This popular procedure can restore the contours and shape your face had when you were younger. Fillers can also be used to create volume where it has never existed. Our skilled injectors can place the correct consistency and amount of filler to precisely replace or create volume to the areas of the face that can benefit.
Results are instant and natural in appearance!
There are many different types of dermal fillers and many manufacturers. Skinpossible uses fillers that are made from Hyaluronic Acid which is a naturally-occurring substance in our skin. Filler comes in many different consistencies ranging from Voluma™, a Juvederm™ product which is very thick, to Redensity II™, a Teosyal product, which is very fluid. For natural looking results it is important to use a filler with the right degree of viscosity in appropriate areas of the face.
Generally the thicker the product is the longer it will last, but the longevity of filler can also be affected by the degree of movement in the area of the face where it is placed. Filler placed in areas of the face with more activity, such as the lips, will generally not last as long as filler placed in areas of the face with a lower degree of movement, such as the orbits of the eyes. This is generally the case despite the thicker product used in the lip area. Some fillers will last up to two years while others are more short-lived with only six to nine months of longevity.
The results from filler can range from subtle to dramatic but it is important to not overdo it. The skill and experience of the injector will very much dictate the outcome. A consultation prior to doing anything will determine the treatment or combination of treatments that is right for you. As a rule of thumb when it comes to filler… if your lips enter the room before you do, you may have lost perspective!
